Victoria, BC - June 18, 2004 - Convergent Media Network is pleased to announce that our marquee software product, CRM3, has been named as a finalist in the “Product of the Year” category for the annual Viatec awards. Viatec (Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre) is a 14-year-old organization whose mandate is to facilitate the development of Vancouver Island as a global centre of excellence for advanced technology. Our CEO, Tim Vasko , sees the recognition as vindication of CMN’s business strategy to become a leader in the development of business software.
Here’s what Tim had to say about the announcement: “Putting it bluntly, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) has been around for years. So why nominate yet another CRM platform for Product of the Year? Because CRM3 is NOT just another CRM platform. We completely rethought the whole concept of CRM in terms of its capabilities for users, and, just as importantly, the underlying technology. I’m very happy that the Viatec judges recognized that.
“We think that with CRM3, we have finally unlocked the true power of Customer Relationship Management – the power of the full circle of Business Process, Marketing and Customer Relationships. And, perhaps best of all, we made it affordable and workable for small to medium sized businesses.”
Workable? Here, Tim touches on an area where CRM3 really stands out against the competition. Just as important as the technology we developed is how we bring the technology to our clients and help them to use it. Many companies buy costly software platforms but never get the return they were promised because their employees don’t learn how to use the new technology. That just doesn’t happen with CRM3 - thanks to our Strategic Advisor program. When you purchase CRM3, the Strategic Advisor who guided you through your purchase and set-up, stays with you as your go-to person for all your CRM questions and training issues.
One of the first things a CRM3 Strategic Advisor does with a client is conduct a BIPED (Business In Process Enterprise Design) analysis, which is a detailed and systematic analysis of a client’s business practices. From this analysis we develop a CRM3 system and interface that is custom-designed to match the way a client does business. Other CRM systems demand that users change their practices to match the software.
But let’s not forget the technology. CRM3 software contains a revolutionary “sync” interface that, has successfully bridged the gaps between MS Outlook (Exchange), and IBM’s DB2 database product line.
Other technological features and enhancements include a unique design of database structures which employ the IBM DB2 platform and the MS SQL 2000 (.NET) platforms. CRM3 software integrates multiple functions in a single user interface.
The implications of this software for small to medium sized businesses are immense. For the first time, these businesses can have a system that integrates their web presence, customer relationship management and marketing management systems with services such as e-commerce, education or entertainment.
CRM3’s use of “dynamic lists” is another technological enhancement that puts it in a category beyond conventional CRM by giving users very powerful new marketing capabilities. The members of dynamic lists change as more information is gathered about the responses of its members. This feature enables a marketing director to define the categories of subscribers and define lists that will always succinctly represent subscribers in those categories.
Leading edge tech, and a delivery strategy that your employees will actually use and benefit from, are a winning combination for any business – and possibly at the 2004 Viatec awards.
