University of Victoria tech leaders join Convergent Media Network
Victoria, BC, June 18, 2004 –Convergent Media Network Inc. (CMN), the Victoria-based developer of the CRM3 software platform, is pleased to announce the addition of key players to its team.
Also joining CMN by way of UVic, is Jan Van Uytven, B.Sc. Jan was the Systems Administrator for the High Energy Physics group at UVic where he was responsible for the construction of their first high-performance Beowulf cluster. Jan is CMN’s new Computer Systems Engineer.
CMN’s CEO, Tim Vasko is a former faculty member at UVic. He was a founding member of the Entrepreneurship program in the UVic business School and was a lecturer in the AMIT program. CMN’s chief software engineer, Jeff Michaud and team members Polly Allen and Marc d’Entremont, all hold M.Sc. degrees from from UVic. CMN’s Creative Architect, Tyler Nixon is also a UVic grad.
Dean Wray , MCSE, ITP, B.Sc., is CMN’s new Director of Sales in addition to acting as Strategic Advisor on new accounts. Dean’s background is in sales and business development in the high-tech, bio-tech and education sectors.
Marci Zoretich , B.A., has been promoted to Project and Production Manager. Yvonne McCallum is CMN’s new Administrative Assistant.
CMN recently released a new version of its marquee software platform, CRM3, a customer relationship management platform that includes unique marketing and messaging features. CRM3 was named as a finalist for the Viatec Awards “Product of the Year.” CMN also recently released 1to1 Pharmacy, a complete management, e-commerce and CRM platform for online and conventional pharmacies.
CMN is a development partner with Microsoft .Net and IBM.
Convergent Media Network was established in Victoria in 1997. CMN has an office in Calgary and sales offices in Winnipeg, Los Angeles, and Palm Beach, Florida.
